Dorothy V. Brown, 84, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Avilla.
She was born on Jan. 16, 1937, in Newark, New Jersey to Howard H. and Emma C. (Volst) Foster.
She married William N. Brown on April 6, 1957, in New Jersey, who passed away on March 5, 2014.
She worked for Graber Realty as a real estate broker and served as Vice President of the Northeast Indiana Association of Realtors. She later worked in the office at the DeKalb County Visitors Bureau.
She was a member of the North Church of Christ in Fort Wayne where she taught children’s bible classes and ladies bible classes.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Kevin Allison of Avilla; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Nancy Brown of Auburn and Bob and Nancy Brown of Chicago, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Sarah (Jon) Millikan, Laura (Jeremy) Myer, Kyle (Chloe) Brown, Rachel Brown, Miranda (Jared) Rice, Dr. Matthew (Katie) Brown, Emily Beerbower and Katie (Darren) Wise; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; four sisters-in-law, Mildred (Wayne) Foster of Florida, Donna (Jon) Hire of Auburn, Cheryl Stephens of Kendallville, and Janice (Bob) Russell of Wolcottville; and a brother-in-law, Dan (Tana) Brown of Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Robert Foster.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Evangelist Ron Roberts officiating.
A private family committal service will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn following the funeral service.
Visitation will be from 10–11:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, prior to the service at the funeral home.
