Auburn – Dorothy M. “Dottie” Vorndran, 90 passed away Sunday November 3, 2024 at her home in Auburn.
She was born May 8, 1934 in Longmont, Colorado to Charles and Mary (Garmyn) Darras.
Dottie worked as a waitress at the Town Tavern in Auburn for 35 years before retiring in 2005.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Auburn. She was also a former member of the Waterloo VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She’ s a member of Auburn Women of the Moose Auxiliary and the American Legion Post 97 Women’s Auxiliary.
Dottie married James Vorndran on October 15, 1955 in Fort Wayne and he passed away September 19, 1996.
She is survived by 2 daughter’s and their husbands, Macharri Vorndran-Jones and her husband Tony of Brownsburg, IN and Ruth Ann Wilson and her husband Rob of Auburn; 5 grandchildren, James Jones, Betsy (Matt) Georgiou, Mitchell (Caitlin) Wilson, Chelsea (David) Jones and Farrah (Tom) Knape; 3 great grandchildren, Copelin Wilson, Isabelle Georgiou and Marlowe Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 East 7th Street, Auburn, IN, 46706. Private family burial will take place in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery in Auburn. Feller and Clark Funeral Home of Auburn is assisting the family with arrangements.
