Dr. Leslee Paul Brown

Auburn – Dr. Leslee Paul “Doc” Brown, 70, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2025.

He was born March 1, 1955, in Auburn. His father was Elson Brown and his mother was Jean (Furnish) Brown-Bailey.

Les was a 1973 graduate of DeKalb High School. He received his Premed Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan in 1977, graduating Magna Cum Laude and then received his Doctorate in 1981 from the IU School of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Auburn from 1982 through his retirement with former patients remembering Doc in his camouflage dentist shirt and cowboy boots and excellence in his care for them.

He was a country boy at heart. He loved being outdoors on his farm, fishing, and four-wheeling. He was an animal lover and would care for any stray or injured animal that wandered on his property. He loved and enjoyed his two malamute dogs, Kibo and Niki.

Les is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Monte and Mona Brown; sister, Lisa Collins; sister-in-law, Asonya Brown; and his beloved nieces and nephews that he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Bud Bailey; sister, Dawn Brown; brother, Gary Brown; and brother-in-law, Buck Collins.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN with burial to follow the service in Waterloo Cemetery. The family will receive friends for 1 hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials can be given in memory of Les to the DeKalb County Humane Shelter.
