Elaine E (Sholl) Moughler

Butler – Elaine E Moughler, 86 of Butler passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born December 28, 1939 in Hicksville, Ohio, to John H and Bernice M (Rohrs) Sholl.

She was a 1957 Butler High School Graduate.

Elaine drove a school bus for DeKalb Eastern Schools for 14 years and was a substitute teacher for 5 years retiring in 1990.

She was a member of County Line Church of God. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Elaine married Larry L Moughler on July 11, 1958 in Bryan, Ohio and he passed away July 16, 2016.

She is survived by 4 sons and daughters-in-law, Leonard E. and Debra Moughler of Butler, Edward J. and Bobbie Moughler of Butler, Dennis W. and Sandy Moughler of Butler and Todd A. and Carolyn Moughler of Butler;10 grandchildren, Brennon (Brittany) Moughler, Orry (Casey) Moughler, Kylee (Cory) Stewart, Leah (AJ) Dove, Elliot (Katherine) Moughler, Ethan (Hannah) Moughler, Emma (Jack) McCune, Caeden Moughler, Addison Moughler and Rylan Moughler; 10 great grandchildren, Evan, Teagan, McKenna, Charlie, Colby, Carson, Cree, Ava, June and Everett; brother, Keith (Delores) Sholl of Sylvania, Ohio; sister, Marlene Embry of Fort Wayne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Dwight Sholl and Victor Sholl, and sister, Carolyn Ferrier.

Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706 with burial to follow in Farnham Cemetery, Edgerton, Ohio. Calling will be 3 hours prior to the service from 11 to 2 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
