Obituary

Evelyn M. Dygert, 96, of Angola passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at her Angola home.

She was born of March 8, 1927 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Dane A. and Ruth E. (Myers) Earl.

Evelyn married Robert J. Dygert on October 8, 1949 in Garrett.  He preceded her in death on November 11, 2009.

Over the years, Evelyn worked as a secretary at different school systems in the area.  She was a member of the “Sweet Adelines” singing group that traveled around the area performing.  She was an avid reader and loved going shopping. 

Survivors include:

Son and daughter-in-law; Robert G. and Debra Dygert of Angola.

Son; Richard L. Dygert of Dublin, Ohio.

Daughter; Rochelle M. Dygert of Angola.

Daughter; Renee R. VanWagner of Angola.

Seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother; Eric and one sister; Vesta.

Per Evelyn’s request, no services or visitation will be held.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo.
