Ezekiel Wade Depew, was born on December 3, 2024 at 7:49 PM and passed away the next morning, December 4th at 6:00 AM at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was 7lbs 8oz and 20 inches long. He was born to his loving parents, Brittany Harris and Zachary Depew of Waterloo.
He is also survived by his siblings, Angel, Gunner, Liam, Adalea, Emmy and Camron; grandparents, Heather Rottger, Kenny Depew and Dana and Richard Petty; great grandparents, Harry Rottger and Cindy Rottger, Stan Harris and Sharon Harris and Calvin Depew and Ada Depew and many other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.
Ezekiel had a rare birth defect known as Anencephaly, where his brain tissues and skull didn’t develop properly in the womb. We knew that we weren’t going to get very much time with him, if any, after his birth. We were blessed enough to get a little over ten hours to spend with him and show him as much love as we possible could. In the short amount of time he was here he definately put a mark in our hearts forever. Such a strong little soul he had. He will be missed more than any parent could ever want to have to explain. We are extremely grateful to have gotten blessed with the time we were given. Rest peacefully our sweet baby boy, Ezekiel Wade.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
