Floyd A. Baughman, 95 of Ashley, passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at his Ashley home
He was born on February 23, 1930 in Spencerville to Ralph and Janie (Bice) Baughman.
Floyd honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953.
He married Annabell Neely on September 20, 1953 in Hamilton. She preceded him in death on January 27, 2015.
Floyd worked for Dana Corporation in Auburn for 30 years, retiring in 1978. In retirement he kept busy with his team of miniature horses, Rambo and Sambo, prancing every year through all of the local parades. In his later years, his passion grew more towards working and perfecting making intricate clocks, jewelry boxes, puzzles, small toys and animals on his scroll saw. He loved going to farmers markets and craft shows to meet the people who purchased his art. Floyd was an active member of the Northeast Indiana Woodworkers Club in Angola. He won numerous awards over the years at art competitions and woodworking shows.
Survivors include:
Daughter and son-in-law, Patsy S. and Michael King of Lafayette, Indiana.
Son, Jerry A. Baughman of Auburn.
Daughter, Sandra M. Baughman of Ashley.
Seven grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Robert Maxwell, John and Stephanie King, Nathan and Amber King, Skyler Ragan, Austin Ragan, Marrisa Ragan and James and Elizabeth Baughman.
Five great grandchildren, Taylor Maxwell, Savannah Maxwell, Mackenzie King, Rosalie King and Brianna Eastwood.
Brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Ellen Baughman of Hamilton.
Numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Annabell Baughman; two daughters, Pamela K. Baughman and Holly J. Keck; one son, Floyd “Junior” Baughman; grandson, Tyler Baughman Eastwood; great grandson, Christopher King; three sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.
Funeral services will be held following the visitation at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Donna Holcomb officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Floyd to the Northeast Indiana Woodworkers Club.
