Gary Lee Tempel

Gary Lee Tempel, 65 of Auburn, passed away at home on Thursday, May 1, 2025.

He was born on March 3, 1960 and he was a graduate of Leo High School. 

Gary honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

He worked in hotel maintenance in both Auburn and Fort Wayne for several years, retiring in July of 2024.  Gary enjoyed shooting for sport at local shooting ranges.  He was a loving father and grandfather, his family was very important to him. 

Survivors include:

Son, Christopher Tempel of Ohio.

Son, Brian Tempel of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Amanda Tempel of Auburn.

Six grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Connor, Mason, Lincoln, Dutch and Milo.

One great grandson, Braxton.

Brother and sister-in-law, William Carper and Miren Beristain of Terre Haute, Indiana.

Brother, John Tempel of Jacksonville, Florida.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, Vitalis Tempel and his mother, Alice (Schelper) Temple.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
