George E. Miner 75, of Auburn died February 4, 2026 at Parkview Health in Auburn.
Mr. Miner retired in 2012. His work history includes foundry, social work, roughnecking oil rigs, law enforcement and auto restoration. He attended the Auburn Church of the Nazarene. George centered his life around God and family.
He was born October 17,1950, in Coshocton, Ohio, to William D. and Dorothy L. (Kinney) Miner.
Surviving George are his mother Dorothy L. Miner of Auburn. He had 3 children: son Jon Farmer of Auburn, daughters Shannone M. Hart, Tricia L. Miner of Montana. George had 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. George loved his siblings dearly: Brother Mark A. and Teri Miner of Hamilton; sisters Sherri L. (Miner) Robinson of Auburn, Susan D. (Miner) and Nathan Young of Jackson, Tenn.; brother Scott B. Miner of Sylvania, OH. Marty Holmes was married to George for 23 years and remained the love of his life.
His father William D. Miner Sr. of Butler, brother William D. Miner Jr. of Avilla both passed away before George.
Services will be 2PM Monday February 9th at Feller & Clark Funeral Home, 875 S Wayne St., Waterloo, Indiana with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating. Burial will be immediately after the service at Butler Cemetery in Butler. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 PM prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
