Born on December 15, 1938, in St. Clair, Michigan, Gerald was the son of Jed and Mae (Cleland) Minor. He grew up along the shores of the St. Clair River and graduated from St. Clair High School in 1956. He went on to earn his Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University in 1960, setting the foundation for a long and successful career.

On May 12, 1961, Gerald married Judith “Judy” Roy in Royal Oak, Michigan. Their union spanned nearly 64 years, marked by commitment and resilience through the seasons of life. Judy survives and resides in Auburn.

Gerald served his country with honor as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army, assigned to the First Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. His leadership, sense of duty, and unwavering responsibility shaped much of who he was.

He dedicated 35 years to the Ford Motor Company as a manufacturing executive, earning respect for his professionalism, focus, and determination. After retiring in 2000, Gerald embraced his passion for golf and spent many enjoyable days as a member of the Loch Lloyd Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri. He appreciated the rhythm of the game and the quiet moments it offered.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Judy, and their children: Jeffery Minor (Don Williamson) of Battle Creek, Michigan; Jennifer Bosak of Longboat Key, Florida; and Julie Grant (David) of Angola, Indiana.

He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Cameron Bosak (Meghan), Carson Bosak (Allison), Logan Bosak, Cade Bosak, Grayson Miller, and Georgia Miller.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Jared Minor, and his son-in-law Cary Bosak.
