Ashley – Gregory L Fifer, 75, of Ashley passed away Thursday February 27, 2025 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn with his family at his side.
He was born August 28, 1949 in Auburn to Dorsey and Phyllis (Fisher) Fifer. They have both passed away.
Greg was a 1967 graduate of Angola High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Tri-State University in 1971.
He drove a milk truck for his father’s company for 22 years then drove for Klink Trucking for 25 years.
Greg was a member of the Pleasant Lake Methodist Church. He enjoyed collecting toy trucks and toy farm equipment and enjoyed going to the Toy farm and truck shows.
Greg married Jane Baumgardner on September 4, 1970 in the Ashley United Methodist Church and she survives in Ashley.
He is also survived by 3 sons and daughter-in-law’s, Jody and Jeri Jo Fifer of Pleasant Lake, Jason and Heidi Fifer of Lyman, South Carolina, and Travis and Leslie Fifer of Ashley; there are 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren’ 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Debbie Derck of Auburn and Becky and Phil Boyer of Ashley; brothers and sisters in law, Rosalie Bowerman of Fremont, Jeanetta Maley of Angola, Jack and Karen Baumgardner of Indianapolis and Delite and Jay Ritter of Lafayette.
Services will be at 11 AM, Wednesday March 5, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN. Visitation will be on Tuesday March 4, 2025 from 6 to 8 PM and also Wednesday from 10 to 11 AM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo.
