Gwendolyn R. (Zeisloft) Garman

Gwendolyn R. Garman, age 76 of Bloomington, Indiana and formerly of Auburn, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Indiana University Health in Bloomington. 

Mrs. Garman was born on August 21, 1946 in Auburn to Thornton and Marjorie (Haynes) Zeisloft.  Her mother survives in Auburn.   

She married Jerald W. Garman on June 11, 1976 in Auburn.  He resides in Bloomington. 

Mrs. Garman worked as an OB Nurse for over 20 years.  She worked for both Dr. Wills in Auburn and Dr. Roberts in Washington, Indiana retiring in 1989.  She was a member of Norris Chapel United Methodist Church in rural Auburn and New Hope Christian Church in Washington.  

Gwendolyn grew up on a farm and after she and Jerald got married they worked their farm together until they moved to Washington in 1980.  She loved the farm life and she also loved animals of all kinds.  She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, making a lot of cloths and many blankets over the years.   Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandkids!

Daughter and son-in-law; Lori and Allen Willis of Lebanon, Indiana. 

Son and daughter-in-law; Brian and Mitzi Garman of Bloomington. 

Son and daughter-in-law; Joe and Erica Garman of Bloomington. 

Daughter and son-in-law; Jennifer and Cory Gathmann of Bloomington. 

Her mother; Marjorie Zeisloft of Auburn. 

Five grandchildren; Allison, Andrew, Cassie, Mandy and Olivia. 

One great granddaughter; Ella. 

Sister; Deanna Treesh of Butler. 

Brother and sister-in-law; Denny and Charyl Zeisloft of Auburn. 

Sister and brother-in-law; Susan and Steve Boyle of Auburn. 

Sister-in-law; Kay Parshall of Auburn. 

Several nieces, nephews and other extended family members. 

She was preceded in death by her father and one brother; Bradd Zeisloft. 

Private family services were held per Mrs. Garman’s wishes.
