Gwendolyn Ilene Shambaugh

Auburn – Gwendolyn Ilene Shambaugh, 97, was called home to be with her Lord on April 1, 2026.

Gwen, known as Punky to her brothers and sisters, was born to Ora and Pearley (Reed) Shambaugh on May 31, 1928.

Gwen will be remembered by many for her giving heart and compassion for helping others. She asked for so little, but gave so much.

“Her children shall rise up and call her blessed” proverbs 31:28

She is survived by her five children, Diane (Dewey) Renfrow, Larry (Elaine) Warstler, Kenneth Warstler, Linda (Larry) Russell and Tony (Rhonda) Warstler; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Nancy Shambaugh.

Those who have preceded her in death are her parents; sisters Virginia and Leona; brothers Gene and Dennis; grandson, Darin Renfrow.

There will be a private graveside service for her children and grandchildren at a later date. Feller and Clark Funeral Home of Auburn is assisting the family with arrangements. To send condolences to the family visit www.fellerandclark.com.
