Heather M (McKnight) Slone

Garrett – Heather M Slone, 38 of Garrett passed away Monday January 6, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born September 24, 1986 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her mother and father, Terry and Rebecca (McDonald) McKnight survive in Waterloo.

Heather worked as a Home Health Care Aid. Heather was not just a family member; she was a guiding star, a source of endless love, warmth, and inspiration. Her laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support touched the lives of so many, and her absence leaves a void that can never be filled.

She married Nick Slone on August 24, 2022 in St Joe, Indiana and he survives in Garrett.

Also surviving are 2 step children, Carter Slone and Braxtyn Slone, both of Auburn; 3 sisters, Jamie (Alvin) Storey of Ashley, Jodie (Jack Fisher) Sparkman of Bryan, Ohio, and Courtney (Ben Hayes) Cox of Garrett; a brother, Josh (Ashley) Slater of Waterloo; her soul sister, Tiffany Voirol of Hamilton and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mattison Grace Kuhn.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025 from 2 to 6 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706. Burial will be at a later date in Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.
