James Morris “Jim” Parker, 83, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at his home on Little Turkey Lake in LaGrange, Indiana.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1942, in Angola, Indiana, to James Lee and Bette Lou (Mounts) Parker.
Jim was a 1960 graduate of Angola High School.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was proud of his service to his country and state.
Jim married Judy Ann Ray on March 24, 1973, in Auburn.
Jim worked in maintenance for Cooper Industrial Products for 32 years, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of American Legion Post 423 in Orland.
Jim never met a stranger. His warm heart and friendly nature made everyone feel welcome. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like deer hunting, fishing, bowling, and sitting peacefully by the lake. Above all, Jim cherished time spent with family, especially his two beloved grandsons, who brought him endless pride and happiness.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Judy Ann Parker, of Little Turkey Lake; son, Jeremiah Lee Parker, of Auburn; and two grandsons, Jaxson Troy Parker and Armani James Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Lavern Parker; and brother, Michael L. E. Parker.
A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, with Pastor Staci Peterson officiating.
Military honors will be rendered by American Legion Post 97 of Auburn.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
