Jeffery A. Fender

Jeffery A. Fender, 70, of Garrett, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at the Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home in Butler.

He was born July 19, 1955, in Auburn, Indiana.

Jeff was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving as Sergeant from 1974 – 1978.

Jeff had a deep love for the outdoors. He loved his horses and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are four siblings, Laura Madsen of Hamilton, Ervin (Jane) Fender of Auburn, Lonnie Fender of Waterloo and Sheril (Art) Worman of Corunna; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Fender; and his mother, Martha (Fackler) Altimus.

There are no services scheduled at this time.

Burial will take place at Cedar Creek Cemetery.
