Jennifer Mary Lynn, age 65 of Angola and formerly of Sealy, Texas, passed away on February 2, 2025 at Auburn Village in Auburn.
Jennifer was born on May 8, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio to Charles Glenn and Mary Ruth (Frosch) Calkins as the third child of five. As a child she was very inquisitive and had to touch everything which got her the nickname “Fingers McGillicuddy”. She was very intelligent, surpassing her school mates in many subjects. She was a cheerleader for Angola High School, her voice would boom with excitement with every score. She was a very avid motorcycle rider, doing tricks and wheelies just for fun. Her favorite football team, good or bad, were the Dallas Cowboys and she always dreamed of being one of their cheerleaders. She could have been, however, she fell in love.
She worked for the Houston, Texas School District as their Food Service Manager. She also worked at Walmart in Madisonville, Texas for several years. She loved her music, as a young woman she played drums and the guitar in a rock band, singing every chance that she could. She also loved to draw and paint and another one of her hobbies was photography.
Jennifer was the mother of three children that she never stopped loving. She moved to Angola, Indiana in 2023 to be with her sister, Cindy and her niece, Jennifer. She believed in the Lord, Jesus Christ and prayed every day for her children and for those that she loved. Our sister, mother and friend is at peace, however, she has left a very large hole in our hearts as we say goodbye. She will be missed by all!
Survivors include:
Her three children, Charles Henry Johnson III, Jason Andrew Lynn and Adrienne Nichole Lynn.
Two grandchildren.
Her brothers and sisters, Cindy Lou Calkins, Charles Glenn Calkins, Jr., Cheryl Juanita Calkins Harrison and Richard Harrison, Robert Allen Calkins and James Edward Frosch.
Nieces and nephews, Michael Scott Calkins, Jennifer Mary Lay, Wendy Ann Rogers, Kenndel Evelyn Rogers, Charles Glenn Calkins I, Christi Your, Angeline Jeannette, Kelashandra Faith and many more.
