Jerry L. Boger, 69, of Garrett, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born on March 15, 1955, in Auburn, Indiana, to Clarence and Gloria “Jane” (Dickson) Boger.
Jerry married Beth Ankenbruck on May 23, 1987, in Fort Wayne.
He worked in restaurant management for Penguin Point in Auburn, and for Famous Recipe in Fort Wayne for 29 years. Jerry retired from Walmart in Auburn, where is was the bakery manager for five years.
Jerry enjoyed doing puzzles, watching NASCAR, reading and putting model kits together. He was a great storyteller and loved his Dachshund dogs, attending his children’s many different events and spending time with family, especially his three children and granddaughter.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Beth Boger, of Garrett; three children, Zack (Carly Kurka) Boger, of St. Louis, Missouri, Kaitlin (Skylar) Weikart, of Fort Wayne and Sam (Jamie Alexakos) Boger, of Chicago, Illinois; one granddaughter, Cora Jane Weikart; and three siblings, Debbie (Bob) Leon, of Auburn, Kim (Beth) Boger, of Waterloo and Tina Clair, of Auburn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Terry Boger.
A memorial service will take place at 4 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 2-4 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
