Jerry A. Stebing, 82, of Antwerp, Ohio, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center in Defiance, Ohio.
He was born October 1, 1943, in Auburn, Indiana to George J. and Ruth M. (Casselman) Stebing.
Jerry honorably served his country and state in the United States Army Reserve.
He married Rebecca L. Mabis on February 26, 2000, in Auburn, Indiana, and she survives in Antwerp, Ohio.
Jerry worked for General Electric/Lockheed Martin for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He also owned and operated Stebing’s Travel Rama, Inc in Fort Wayne for three years.
He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Payne, Ohio.
He also was a member of the American Legion Post 297 in Payne, Ohio.
Also surviving are four children, Brent J. (Michelle Clements) Stebing of New Haven, Brad D. Stebing of Decatur, Renee C. (Kenny) Bradford of Decatur, and Brian K. Fiedler of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren with one on the way; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne A. (Stebing) and Steve Burns of Auburn; sister-in-law, Beverly K. Stevenson of Antwerp, Ohio; and two brothers-in-law, Tim G. Mabis of Payne, Ohio, and Tom J. Mabis of Lebanon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark A. Fiedler; and two sisters, Joyce A. Stebing, and Judy A. Parks.
A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2026, at Roselawn Cemetery 1305 Center St., Auburn, with Pastor Fred Meuter officiating.
Memorial donations may be directed to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center or St. James Lutheran Church in Payne, Ohio.
