Jo Ann (Kneubuhler) Hart

Waterloo – Jo Ann Hart, 87, of Waterloo, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.

She was born July 17, 1937 in Waterloo. Her father was Reinhold Kneubuhler and her mother and step father were Alta (Musser) and Cecil Gettys.

Jo owned and operated along with her husband Harts Super Valu in Waterloo for 26 years. She also worked in the offices of Dr Coleman and Dr Graber in Waterloo for over 40 years.

She was a member of Waterloo First Grace Church and was a founding member of Children First Center in Auburn.

Surviving is her husband, Jerry Hart. They were married November 7, 1964 and just celebrated their 60th Anniversary; son and daughter in law, Gary and Judy Hart of Corunna; daughter, Andrea Hart-Carper of Waterloo; 3 grandchildren, Grayson (Jennifer) Hart, Brandon Carper and Kelsey (Alexis) Mapes; 4 great grandchildren, Jenson Hart, Emersyn Mapes, Olyn Mapes and Roman Mapes; sister, Lora Shaw of Dayton, Ohio; brother and sister-in-law, Lyle “Butch” and Nel Kneubuhler of Auburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Dale Kneubuhler and a sister Phyllis Sattison.

Services will be 11 AM, Tuesday March18, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street, Waterloo, IN 46793. Burial will follow the service in Waterloo Cemetery. Rev Sam Weicht and Rev Ralph Diehl will officiate. Calling is 4 to 7 Monday at the funeral home in Waterloo. Memorials can be given in memory of Jo to Parkview Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
