Fort Wayne – Jo Ann Kruse, 85, passed away Thursday March 5, 2026 at Park Place Senior Living in Fort Wayne.
She was born December 29, 1940 in Garrett to Harold E. and Vera I (Allen) Kruse and they have both passed away.
Jo Ann worked for 45 years at Lincoln Life / Swiss-Re in Fort Wayne before retiring in 2004.
She was a member of Sigma Beta Sorority and Lincs travel group with Lincoln Life.
She was brought up in the Lutheran faith and over the years she attended different Lutheran churches including, St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne and St. Marks Lutheran Church in Auburn. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice and she shared her talent by singing in the choirs of every church she attended. She even joined the choir at Park Place Senior Living where she lived, making some wonderful new friends to sing with. She loved to read, travel, watch movies trivia, doing puzzles, crocheting and embroidering.
She is survived by a brother, John Kruse of Columbia City and a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and John Foell of Auburn; nephews, Ronald (Wendy) Holben of Auburn, Jeffrey (Lela) Holben of Fort Wayne; niece, Anna Mullett of Charlotte, NC; great nephews, William, Samuel, Gideon, Isaac and Jude Holben.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2 PM Saturday April 11, 2026 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN. The family will receive friends for an hour prior to the Celebration from 1 to 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
