Joan L. (Flory) Scheribel

Joan Laree Scheribel, 90 of Grabill, Indiana went to be with the Lord Sunday, October 3, 2021.  She passed away at St. Anne’s Nursing Home in Fort Wayne. 

She was born March 3, 1931 in Highland Park, Illinois to Richard and Wilma Flory. 

Joan married Don Scheribel on September 26, 1952 in Gurnee, Illinois.  Don passed away December 13, 2000.

Joan was a stay at home mom raising 4 children, Lorri Laree Moulin, Susan Lynn Lucero, Dirk Lawrence Scheribel and Jeffrey David Scheribel. 

She worked later in life at the Candle Tree shop in Georgetown Shopping Center and as a TV hostess at Parkview Hospital.

She was an avid knitter, making baby clothes for infants that did not survive their birth. She loved gardening and going to the Amish Farm for fresh vegetables in her 1998 Cadillac.

She is survived by her 2 daughters and 2 sons, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Jack Flory; and granddaughter, Jennifer.

Private family services will be held  at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, Indiana. 

She will be cremated and her ashes will be spread with her husband Don’s.

The family would request prayers for our Country in lieu of flowers.
