Joan M. (DeKoninck) Stockert

Joan M. Stockert, age 59 of Garrett passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Stockert was born on February 4, 1962 in Garrett to Dale and Eloisoe (Harbor) DeKoninck.  She was a 1980 graduate of Garrett High School. 

She married Russell E. Stockert on April 23, 1992 in Auburn.  He resides in Garrett.    

Joan enjoyed doing crafts, putting puzzles together and camping.  Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies.

Her husband; Russell Stockert of Garrett.

Daughter; Kristi Stockert of Garrett.

Daughter and son-in-law; Jamie and Cody Hartman of Garrett.

Son; James “J.C.” Howey of Waterloo.

Daughter; Holly Stockert of Garrett.

Daughter and son-in-law; Amy and Denton Stayer of Waterloo.

14 grandchildren; Kristen, Jordan, Taylor, Jarred, Courtnie, James, Lyndsey, Addison, Brooklyn, Ashlynn, Hunter, Isla, Bristol and Verity.

6 great grandchildren; Dakota, Kaden, Faith, Russel, Gracelynn and Zayden.

Brother and sister-in-law; Mike and Vicki DeKoninck.

Brother and sister-in-law; Dave and Pam DeKoninck.

Sister and brother-in-law; Diane and Chris Miles of Florida.

Sister and brother-in-law; Sandy and Terry Wilcox of Auburn.

Sister and brother-in-law; Sharon and Rod DeLong of Pierceton, Indiana.

Brother and sister-in-law; Mark and Dee DeKoninck of Avilla.

Many loving nieces and nephews.

Joan was preceded in death by parents and a nephew; Rob Wilcox.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Auburn with Brother Bud Owen officiating.

Burial will take place at Cedar Creek Cemetery. 

Memorial Donations may be made to the Stockert Family to help with expenses in care of Feller and Clark Funeral Home.
