Jodi Lyn (Griggs) Jacobs

Jodi Lyn Jacobs, 61, passed away, Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her home in rural Auburn.

She was born May 30, 1965, in Auburn, Indiana to William Stanley and Margaret Elizabeth (Keith) Griggs.

Jodi was a 1983 graduate of DeKalb High School. She received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Ivy Tech in Fort Wayne.

She worked for Betz Nursing Home in Auburn as a licensed practical nurse for the past 40 years.

Jodi was a member of the American Pool Association.

Surviving are five children, Breanna (Brian Fletcher) Maddox of Waterloo, Emalee (Joel Wilson) Griggs of Markle, Ivan Jacobs of Angola, Hannah (Andrew) of Garrett, and Eli Jacobs of Auburn; 10 grandchildren, Trinadee Wiley, Rylan Gonzalez, Ahlana Fletcher, Skylar Collins, Kahlyci Maddox, Bella, Lucas Fletcher, Brea Fletcher, Xanner-Nanners, and Raina-Bo-Baina; two brothers, William (Jessica) Griggs II of Waterloo, and Jeffery (Jennifer Miller) Griggs of Kendallville; and her beloved dogs that were the center of her life, Hagrid and Potter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son-in-law, Andrew Maddox.

A celebration of Jodi’s life will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, prior to the service at the funeral home.
