Joseph Edward Greuter, 68, of Hudson, Indiana, died at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025, peacefully at his home.
He was born November 10, 1956, in DeKalb County, Indiana to John M. and Betty Jane (Thomas) Greuter. His parents preceded him in death along with his older brother, John M. Greuter II.
He put over 1 million miles all across the United Staes as a truck driver for nearly 10 years. After that, Joe retired as a maintenance man of 20 years working in the foundry.
He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR with close friends and family on the weekends and was a firearms enthusiast.
He is survived by his loving girlfriend, Carla Miller of Hudson, IN; two sons, Jason and Amy Greuter of Auburn, IN, and Steven Greuter of New Haven, IN; two stepsons, Ryan Teneyck of Ashley, and Tegan and Jamie Teneyck of Pleasant Lake; two sisters, Roxanne and Larry Williams, and Alaura and Rod Parrish; and a brother, Sam and Diane Greuter, all of Auburn.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Emily, Alyssa, Bradley and Jacob of Avilla, IN and Kelsee of New Haven, IN; nine step-grandchildren, Chelsea Cummings of Colorado, Damion and Ray Scott of Columbia City, Darryl, Thaylon and Taryn of Pleasant Lake, Allie and Kyler of Kendallville, Kylie and Weslee of Garrett and Braden of Ashley; and one great grandchild, Alik along with one on the way.
