Joyce Winebrenner, 95, of Auburn, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
She was born August 27, 1930, in Antigo, Wisconsin to Charles and Mabel (Jackson) Bonnell.
Joyce married Donald H. Winebrenner on July 3, 1950, in Fort Wayne, and he passed away August 13, 1998.
She worked at Magnavox in Whitley County, retiring in 1994.
Joyce was a member of the Garrett Presbyterian Church.
She was a lifetime member of Sigma Phi Gama International Sorority.
She was known for her love of baking cookies and enjoyed spending time solving cryptograms, crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was also an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers, Green Bay Packers, and Indiana Pacers.
Surviving are a daughter, Donna Bowers of Auburn; daughter-in-law, Debra Winebrenner of Wolcottville; grandchildren, Sean (Mia) O’Dell of Auburn, Shannon (Joey) LaBarbera of Virginia, Cale Winebrenner of Wisconsin, and Jeremy (Naomi) Winebrenner of Utah; great grandchildren, Sofia O’Dell, Grace and Emmaline Winebrenner and Edison LaBarbera; sister, Janet Hollingsworth of Canada; sister-in-law, Gaye Bonnell; and nephews, Charles (Françoise) Bonnell, David (Pamela) Hollingsworth, Dale (Karen) Hollingsworth, and Daniel (Susan) Hollingsworth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gerald Winebrenner on October 10, 2007; son-in-law, Stephen Bowers on October 5, 2010; brother, William Bonnell; and two brothers-in-law, Jack Hollingsworth and Robert (June) Winebrenner.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from noon – 1 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor Ken Conrad will be officiating.
Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery in rural Garrett.
Visitation also will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2026, at the funeral home.
