Julia Annette (Yoder) Ellison

Julia Annette Ellison, 67 of Kendallville, passed away at home after a short illness on Thursday, August 21, 2025.

She was born on July 28, 1958 in Auburn to Lowell and Marilyn (Ginder) Yoder.  She was a 1976 graduate of R. Nelson Snider High School in Fort Wayne

Julia recently retired from the Kendallville Animal Clinic after working there for the last 19 years.  She was an animal lover, especially cats. 

Survivors include:

Her companion of 25 years, David Fischer of Kendallville.

Brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Anne Yoder of Fort Wayne.

Five nieces and nephews and their spouses, Shawn and Shannon Gill, Nicole and Dan Voss, Joel and Kristin Yoder, Ethan and Megan Yoder and Jesse Yoder.

Six great nieces and nephews.

Sister-in-law, Sue Yoder of Fort Wayne.

Julia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Phil Ellison and one brother, Mike Yoder.

Per Julia’s wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.

Memorial donations may be given in memory of Julia to the Humane Society of Noble County, 1305 Sherman Street, Kendallville, Indiana 46755.
