Julie Anne Starkey, 60, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, from injuries sustained in an accident on Interstate 69.
She was born on May 31, 1964, in Fort Wayne, to Neil and Mary Lou (Klopfenstein) Wisler.
Her mother has passed away and her father survives in Auburn.
Julie worked in management at Pizza Hut for more than 35 years, and most recently worked at Home Depot.
She loved riding her motorcycle and was a member of Motor Maids Motorcycle club. She enjoyed many cross-country trips that she took with the Motor Maids. She enjoyed crafts, spending time with her family and friends, and gave of herself, endlessly. She loved her family, husband, Mike, father, Neil, sister, Susan, nieces, Cecilia, Madeline and Olivia. And let’s not forget her cats.
Julie married Michael Starkey on April 30, 1988, in Waterloo, Indiana, and he survives.
She is also survived by a sister, Susan Schowe, of Huntertown; three nieces, Cecilia Anne Schowe, Madeline Sue Schowe and Olivia Mae Schowe; aunt and uncle, Cynthia and Robert Jarrett, of St. Joe; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother; and brother, Basil David Glenn Wisler.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., at Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.
Burial will follow the service on Friday at Waterloo Cemetery, Waterloo.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
