Karen L. Carpenter

Karen L. Carpenter, age 79, formerly of Hicksville, Ohio passed away on February 5, 2025 at The Laurels of DeKalb Nursing Home in Butler.

Karen was born on October 19, 1945 in Fort Wayne to Orlo and Connie (Ayers) Carpenter.

Survivors include:

Brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sue Carpenter of Garrett.

Brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Jo Ellen Carpenter of Antwerp, Ohio.

Brother, Randy Carpenter of Fort Wayne.

Sister, Debra Wainwright and Toby Walker of Auburn.

Sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Tim Shuman of Waterloo.

Brother-in-law, Thomas Ellert of Fremont, Indiana.

Many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sherry Ellert; an infant sister, Jody Ann Carpenter and two nephews, Mark Wainwright and Chad Carpenter. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.

Burial will take place at a later date at the Hicksville Cemetery in Hicksville, Ohio.
