Karen T. Liby, PhD

Karen T. Liby PhD, age 52 of Indianapolis, went home with Jesus on Friday, November 15, 2024 surrounded by family. 

Karen was born in Angola on May 15, 1972 and was the daughter of Thomas & MaryAnn (Gandenberger) Liby.  She graduated from Faith Christian Academy.  She received a B.S. from Hillsdale College, M.S. from Palmer College (Iowa) and PhD from University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.

At I.U. School of Medicine, Karen was professor of medicine, pharmacology & toxicology and cancer center research member.

Karen is survived by her parents, Thomas & MaryAnn Liby; brother, Keith Liby; sister, Sarah (Mario) DeFreitas and three nephews and one niece.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo, Indiana.  Additional visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at the Circle Cemetery in Hudson following the service.
