Katherine L. (Fry) Sleesman

Katherine L. Sleesman, 66, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at her home in Butler, Indiana.

She was born on April 5, 1958, in Auburn, Indiana, to Wendell and Anita (Timmerman) Fry.

Katherine was a 1976 graduate of Eastside High School.

She married Douglas Allen Sleesman on Sept. 23, 1978, in Butler, Indiana.

Katherine was a homemaker and also a caregiver to her parents and various family members.

She was a member of Hamilton United Methodist Church. She loved making cookbooks for a fundraiser to support the church.

She also was a member of the Bryan Eagles in Bryan, Ohio.

Katherine enjoyed adventures to Put-in-Bay, Ohio, Mackinac, Michigan, and to the Marblehead Lighthouse. She also enjoyed fishing, cooking, singing karaoke and caring for her family.

Surviving are her husband of 46 years, Douglas Sleesman, of Butler; two children, Daisy Reinhart, of Butler and Scott Sleesman, of Butler; brother, Ralph (Cindy Evans) Fry, of Hamilton; and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Christopher Reinhart; and many cherished aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with visitation from 10-11 a.m., on Wednesday, prior to the service.

The Rev. Jerry Burghduff will be officiating.

Visitation also will be from 3-7 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at the funeral home.
