Kaylee Louise “Bug” Boham, 18, born April 13, 2007, in Portland, Oregon, was called to her eternal rest on March 6, 2026, in Auburn, Indiana. Born to her adoring parents, Robert Boham and Marie Bennett, Kaylee filled our home with laughter, curiosity, and a light that could brighten even the darkest days. She taught us so much in such a short time. She taught us to slow down, to notice the small beautiful moments, and to love more deeply that we ever thought possible. Although we wish we had more time, we are grateful for every single moment we were given.
Preceded in death by her beloved Nana Sherry, grandpa Terry, great-grandma Shirley, grandpa Clint, and grandpa Larry,
Kaylee leaves behind a family that cherished her deeply: her father Robert Boham, step-mother Crystal Drake mother Marie Bennett, brothers Devin and Layton, sisters Autumn, Anastasia, Serena, Felicity, and Adrianna, grandpa Dale Sr, grandma Barb, and grandma Maria. Her uncles, Dale Jr, Daniel, Josh, and aunt Dianna, along with several nieces and nephews, will forever hold Kaylee close in their hearts.
A gifted artist, Kaylee possessed a beautiful singing voice that could bring comfort or incite joy in equal measure. Her passion for painting and drawing was inspired by her idol, Bob Ross, and she used her talent to create masterpieces on canvas and skin alike, finding joy in the art of tattooing. A devoted aunt, Kaylee cherished the time she spent with her nieces and nephews, capturing their moments together through her love for photography.
Kaylee was a bright and imaginative soul, whose fearless spirit was matched only by her unwavering loyalty. She was known for her quick wit and humor, always ready with a joke or a comforting word for those she loved. Her devotion to her family and friends, her undeniable talent, and her beautiful spirit will be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
A Celebration of Life for Kaylee is being planned, and the details will be shared once they are finalized.
In the words of her sister, Adrianna, "For Kay, I love you so much. I truly don’t think I’ll ever begin to understand why. Why you, why now? It’s too much. And it’s just not fair. Maybe you were just too much for this world, and it just wasn’t ready for you. Your talents, your light, your energy, your power, it’s much greater than this world. And I can’t wait to see what you’ve done with it in the afterlife, because I refuse to believe I won’t see you again! It’ll be when I walk into your tattoo parlor in heaven (or wherever we end up beyond this life)..."
In the words of a chosen sister, “Kay was the type of person who made anything happen. She lit up the room with her presence. Her smile, her voice, and her laugh was the center of attention everywhere she went. I have had the blessing of having her in my life for the last 8 years, and I will continue to carry a piece of her everywhere I go. Forever and always, Kay.”
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the GoFundMe account, Kaylee Louise “Bug” Boham Gone Too Soon, to assist with final costs.
