Fort Wayne – Larry P Bowers, 70 of Fort Wayne, formerly of Waterloo, passed away Tuesday May 20, 2025 at Dupont Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born May 21, 1954 in Waterloo. His father was Elmer Bowers and his mother and stepfather was Hildanna and Emory Camp.
Larry owned and operated Bowers and Son Towing and Got Worms Bait Shop both of Waterloo.
He was a member of the Orland American Legion Post 423.
Larry had a big heart and would do anything for you if you needed help. He loved to ride his motorcycle and drive his speed boat. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his dogs and spending time with family and friends at Crooked Lake.
He married Peggy (Burger) Hallman on May 18, 2012 at Lake James and she survives in Fort Wayne.
Also surviving are 6 kids, Jermey Bowers of Auburn, Lindsay (Dave) Mautner of Auburn, Natasha Wurster of Toledo, Ohio, Steven (Kellie) Wurster of Sylvania, Ohio, Andrew (Megan) Cavazos of Dallas Texas and Anyssa Robles of Archbold, Ohio; 16 grandchildren and a sister and brother-in-law, Merry and Merle Crager of Pleasant Lake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and a sister, Terry Yontz, Gerry Yontz, Sherry Pagliuco and Stephen Bowers.
Services will be 5 PM Wednesday May 28, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706. Calling is Tuesday from 3 to 8 PM and also 2 hours prior to the service Wednesday from 3 to 5 PM.
