Larry G. Delozier

Larry Gene Delozier, 75, of Garrett, Indiana, went to his eternal resting place on Monday, August 3, 2026, at his home.

Larry was born June 4, 1951, in Stonewall, Oklahoma, to Claude and Ethel Mae Delozier.

A proud United States Army veteran, Larry served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged.

Larry loved the outdoors—hunting, fishing, gardening, and mowing his yard, along with just about every neighbor’s yard. He loved repairing all things and could usually find a way to fix just about anything. He enjoyed a cold beer, horseshoes, Texas Hold ’Em, ’90s country music, and karaoke. He especially loved serenading the love of his life, Jeanne, with Conway Twitty.

Above all, Larry loved his family. He made sure everyone around him was well-fed, cared for, and loved. He made it his mission to be everyone’s stand-in “Pops” if they needed one, and there was always room for one more in his family. He taught the boys to become men, work hard, and love harder. He taught his girls to be independent, know their worth, never settle for less, and never back down.

Larry is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jeanne Delozier; children, Lisa Delozier, Larry (Cindy) Delozier, Amanda Delozier, Angela (Michael) Rowe, and Melissa Delozier (Keaton Laffoon); 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; three sisters; three brothers; ex-wife Gloria Delozier, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepmother, his in-laws, seven brothers, and one sister.

The family wishes to thank Kelli and Mariah with Interim Health Hospice, for their exceptional love and care for Larry.

Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn.

Services will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2026, following visitation at the funeral home.

Michael Rowe will be officiating.

Burial will take place at the Auburn Catholic Cemetery with Father Jake Schneider officiating. Full military honors will be conducted by the United States Army, American Legion Post 178 of Garrett, and American Legion Post 97 of Auburn.

Pallbearers will be Larry Delozier II, Dusty Delozier, Justin Dellinger, Dawson Dellinger, Leo Viers, and Joe Klotz. Honorary pallbearers will be Trent Curran and Tony Sexton.

Preferred memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or any veterans organization or cause.

Larry leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, lessons, and love. His fight is over, and now he is home with Jesus—where we should all strive to be one day.
