Larry Dean Orewiler, age 69, formerly of Angola, passed away peacefully at DeKalb Memorial Hospital on Friday, October 18, 2024.
Mr. Larry Orewiler was a graduate of Angola High School. In addition, He was a graduate of Ivy Tech and earned an associates degree. He was also a member of Alpha Tau Xi Chapter for the International Honor Society of the Two-Year College. Before retirement, he worked in maintenance for the hotel hospitality profession where he formed many long-lasting friendships over the years. He enjoyed singing and had a gift of conversation and humor with people. He was an automobile enthusiast and would look forward to the annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival. Mr. Orewiler took special pride in spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Orewiler is preceded in death by his parents, Keith and Beverly (June) Orewiler and his grandparents Roy and Nellie Orewiler, formerly of Angola.
Surviving is his wife, Lori Knight-Orewiler, her children Travis and Kelia Viecelli of Butler; Greg and Kim Viecelli both of Michigan and a son from a previous marriage, James Orewiler, and his wife, Susie Orewiler of Fort Wayne. Also surving are: a brother, Dean Orewiler and his wife Nataliya Orewiler of Fremont; a sister, Marsha and John Liechty of Auburn. He also has two nephews: Arri and Emily Orewiler of Fort Wayne and Ian Orewiler of Fort Wayne. Mr. Orewiler is survived by numerous friends.
A celebration of life reception will be held at a later date.
