Linda Ann Martin, 71, passed away peacefully at her home on Cree Lake on July 12, 2026, surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 4, 1955 in Corunna, Indiana to Richard and Juanita (Sayles) Harmes.
Linda dedicated her entire working career to factory labor, with her final years of employment at Kraft Foods in Kendallville, Indiana. Outside of work, Linda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved gardening and canning, preserving the fruits of her labor to share with family and friends. An avid reader, she enjoyed books of every genre, though murder mysteries were always her favorite. Linda was also a talented seamstress who made curtains, pillow covers, and countless treasured quilts that will continue to warm the homes and hearts of those she loved for years to come.
She is survived by her children, daughter, Tracy (Hess) Morrow and her husband, Kenneth, of Hamilton; daughter, Lacasta Hess of Ohio; son, Travis Hess and his wife, Jamy, of Fort Wayne; stepdaughter, Stacy Martin of Kendallville; and stepson, Jeremy Martin of Kendallville. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Harmes of Corunna; her sister-in-law, Delsie Harmes of Corunna; her grandchildren, Ty Coburn, Caleb Hawn, Shelbie Hess, Keith Jackson, Tylor Hess, Travis Hess, Taylor Hess, Alivia Wappes, Adleigh Martin, Aidyn Hudson, Kylar Hudson, and Dayde Hudson; as well as 12 great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Martin; her brother, Keith Harmes; and her sister, Debra Parshall.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo. Additional visitation will be held on Friday morning one hour prior to the funeral service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Rich Secor officiating.
Burial will take place at the Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.
