Louise (Salway) Brock

Louise Brock, age 79, of Hudson passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at her Hudson home with her daughter by her side.

Mrs. Brock was born in Monroeville, Indiana on November 17, 1940 to David and Lelah (Chapman) Salway.  She graduated from Monroeville High School in 1959. 

She married Donald “Benny” Brock on November 16, 1963 in Monroeville.  He preceded her in death on February 25, 1999.

Mrs. Brock was a bookkeeper for Noll Brothers Oil in Hudson for many years.  She was also a bookkeeper for Smith Enterprise in Helmer.  She was also a waitress at Lichty's Bread Basket Inn for many years.  Mrs. Brock has served as the janitor, and so much more, for the Auburn Nazarene Church where she was also an active member for the past several years.

Most of all she was a proud and loving grandma.  Her two grandchildren were very important in her life and she loved following them from little league sports up through their careers at Hamilton High School and beyond.  There was no bigger fan of Hamilton Marine Athletics.  Nana will be remembered for many things, but her famous brownies will be towards the top of the list.   

Survivors Include:

Daughter; Michele Brock of LaGrange.

2 grandchildren; Caity Rose and Colt Rose, both of Fort Wayne.

Brother and sister-in-law; Walt and Betty Salway of Decatur.

Brother and sister-in-law; Noel and Pat Salway of Monroeville.

Brother; James Salway of Otter Lake.

Many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene, 2301 Main Street in Auburn.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Doug Thomas officiating.

Burial will take place at Circle Cemetery in Hudson.

Memorial donations may be directed to the Auburn Church of the Nazarene.
