Marilyn M. Cook, 90, of Auburn, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
She was born on June 2, 1934, in Avilla, Indiana, to Clair O. and Sadie E. (Haynes) Tuttle.
Marilyn married W. Lee Cook on Dec. 30, 1951, at Cedar Lake Church of the Brethren, and he passed away on Feb. 17, 2025.
Surviving are three daughters, Cathy (Bill) Beckman, of Fort Wayne, Terry Harris, of Bluffton and Jone (Hack) Jordan, of Auburn; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn R. Debes, of Auburn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Theron Tuttle, George Tuttle, Chalmer Tuttle and Frank “Bub” Tuttle; and a brother-in-law, Leo Debes.
Marilyn was a homemaker. She also helped her husband, Lee, on the family farm.
Marilyn and her husband, Lee, enjoyed wintering in Zephyrhills, Florida, for 17 years, where they made wonderful new friends. Marilyn enjoyed playing euchre, bowling, singing, sewing and baking.
She was a member of Cedar Lake Church of Brethren.
She also was a member of the DeKalb County Chorus for more than 20 years and Jolly Dozen Ladies Group.
Lee loved letting everyone know that he and Marilyn were married for 73 years.
We thank the nursing staff at Astral at Auburn and Parkview Hospice for the care they showed our mother.
A celebration of Marilyn’s life will take place at noon on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Laura Van Voorhis officiating.
Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery in rural Garrett.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, on Thursday, June 5, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Lake Church of Brethren.
