Marilyn Nadine Minard, age 90, of Auburn passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Chapman Place in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Minard was born in Fort Wayne on August 21, 1930 to Oliver and Leah (Ringenberg) Krauss. She was a 1948 graduate of North Side High School in Fort Wayne.
She married Elmer Minard on September 12, 1964 in Auburn. He preceded her in death on December 21, 2001.
Prior to getting married Mrs. Minard worked for Lincoln National Life for 16 years in Fort Wayne from 1948 until 1964. After getting married she moved to Auburn and raised her family. She was a member of the Auburn First United Methodist Church. For many years she used her musical talents as an entertainer for Audiences Unlimited in Fort Wayne. She was also an organist and pianist for countless social occasions throughout her life. She and her husband were members of the Sunny Tones Ballroom Dance Band and she was a member of the First Tuesday Night Organ Club. In 2010 Marilyn was awarded the Medal of Art Award as a pianist from the Auburn Arts Commission for a lifelime of performing and sharing her talent with schools, organizations, churches and parties though out Northeast Indiana.
Survivors Include:
Son and daughter-in-law; Jeff and Amy Minard of Fort Wayne.
8 grandchildren and a spouse; Katie, Chloe and Toby Taylor, Ian, Rachel, Alex, Matthew, Annelise, and Caleb.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Elmer Minard and a step daughter; Marsha Bassett.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 2 at 3:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn with Rev. Wilbur Yates officiating.
A gathering a friends and family will be held 2 hours prior to the memorial service on Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
