Marjorie D. “Marge” Bauman, 81, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at her home in rural Auburn.
She was born on Jan. 13, 1944, in Auburn, Indiana, to Francis A. and DeEtta M. (Culbertson) Close.
Marge married Michael “Mike” Bauman on Oct. 26, 1962, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn, and he passed on Sept. 7, 2013.
She worked at Cooper Tire in Auburn for more than 18 years. She also worked in the activities department at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn for six years.
Surviving are three children and their spouses, Michelle D. Bauman, of Auburn, Michael D. and Elandra Bauman, of Auburn and Mark A. and Janice Bauman, of Auburn; six grandchildren, Tessa O’Neal, Collin O’Neal, Irlene (Dominic) Degaetano, Georgia Bauman, Veronicka Bauman and Samantha Bauman; four siblings and their spouses, Judy A. Pepple, of Auburn, Linda J. and Bud Handshoe, of Auburn, John F. and Martha Close, of Auburn and Jack A. and Debra Close, of Peru; sister-in-law, Marylou Ort, of Auburn; and a brother-in-law, Pat (Ruth) Bauman, of St. Louis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers-in-law, Jim Pepple, Kenny Ort and Ted Bauman
Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Monday, April 28, 2025, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center St., Auburn, with Pastor Tom Wilcoxson officiating.
Burial will take place at Christian Union Cemetery in rural Garrett.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., on Monday, April 28, 2025, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
