Marlyn K. Funk, 96 of Auburn, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Garrett.
She was born on May 19, 1930 in Royal Oak, Michigan to Albert and MaDonna (Kinsey) Wade.
Marlyn married Orville E. Funk on Christmas Day, December 25, 1949 in St. Joe, Indiana and he preceded her in death on January 18, 2014.
She worked in the accounting division at International Harvester for 22½ years, retiring in 1984. She was a faithful member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Joe. Following retirement, she and Orville enjoyed spending their winters in Naples and North Port, Florida.
Marlyn is survived by two daughters, Rietha and Jim Redmond of Auburn and Renee Kreischer of St. Joe; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer Redmond, Kelly and Derek Brown, Eric and Noelle Redmond, Jason and Karla Kreischer; ten great grandchildren, Lauren, Grace, Emma, Lily, Paige, Keaton, Leah, Kendall, Evelyn and Gabe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Funk; four sisters, Marcia Sible, Beverly Bell, Margaret Barkman and Sally Wolfe; two brothers, Edward Wade and Franklin Wade; and son-in-law, Kevin Kreischer.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 24 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 South Center Street in Auburn.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday following the visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Smith officiating.
Burial will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Auburn.
Memorial donations may be given in memory of Marlyn to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 302 Washington Street, St. Joe, Indiana 46785.
