Marvella Dilley Obituary

Marvella L. Dilley, age 101, of Auburn passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Auburn Village Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.

Mrs. Dilley was born on February 23, 1919 in Spencerville. She was the last surviving member of her Spencerville High School class of 1936.

She married John F. Dilley on July 9, 1937 in Garrett. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1980.

Mrs. Dilley was a homemaker. She and John moved to Tucson, Arizona following his retirement. After her husband passed away she moved back to Auburn in 1982. She was a member of the St. Mark Lutheran Church in St. Joe. She was also a member of the Eastern Star in Spencerville, De Kats Camping Club for many years and she belonged to the same Bunco Club in St. Joe for over 50 years. Mrs. Dilley also enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years at Matlacha Island, Florida.

Survivors Include:

Son and daughter-in-law; Jerry and Sue Dilley in North Fort Myers, Florida.

Son and daughter-in-law; Eugene Dilley and Betty Smith of Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

Daughter and son-in-law; Betty and Nelson Heisler of Auburn.

Son and daughter-in-law; Donald and Kathy Dilley of Butler.

Son and daughter-in-law; Douglas and Robin Dilley of Fort Wayne.

10 grandchildren and their spouses; Mary Ann and Steven Upp, Diana and Martin De Carranza, Scott and Kimberly Heisler, Jeffrey and Catrina Heisler, Nadine Doughty, Sherry Dilley, Debra Dilley, Jenny Goller, Amy Miller and Andrea and Delbert Terry.

11 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.

Sister-in-law; Marge Brattain of Palatine, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; John Dilley, great grandson; Zachary Taylor, sister; Dorothy Farver and brother; Forrest Brattain.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery.
