Mary Jane (Molargik) Etter

Auburn – Mary Jane Etter, 76, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026.

She was born January 18, 1950 in Garrett to Leo and Irene (Owen) Molargik.

Mary Jane worked at Eaton Corporation.

She was a member of County Line Church of God and Diamonds in the Rough singing group. She had her pilots license from 1988 to 1993 flying Cessna 152’s. She did missionary work, traveling extensively to wherever she could, to help people in need.

Mary Jane enjoyed singing, cake decorating, costume making and was an excellent seamstress. She never met a stranger. She would help other people in any way she could, giving money if needed, fund raising, or simply sitting with someone that needed to be heard, a shoulder to cry on or praying with them. Everyone loved her, she was everyone’s mom.

Surviving is a daughter and son in law, Tanessa and Robert Grubb of Huchuca City, Arizona; granddaughter and her husband Janette and Brent Schebel; 3 great grandchildren, Christa, Caitlyn and Camryn; 2 brothers and sister in laws, Leo “Boone” and Nancy Molargik, Bob and Verneda Molargik, and a brother-in-law, Gaylord “Doc” Shaffer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Tammy Burnett and sister Carol Shaffer.

Services will be 1 PM Saturday, March 28, 2026 at County Line Church of God, 7716 N County Line Road E, Auburn, IN 46706 with burial to follow the service in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn, IN. Calling is Friday, March 27, 2026 from 3 to 7 PM at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706.
