Mary K. “Kaye” Hasenour, 79, of Butler, passed away, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.
She was born January 5, 1946, in Washington, Indiana to Sylvester and Mary A. (Mattingly) Schmitt.
Kaye married James A. Hasenour on October 6, 1991, and he passed away on January 23, 2011.
She was a receptionist for Best Chairs of five years, was a waitress and hostess for Schnitzelbank for 10 years, was secretary for Edward D. Jones for four years and retired in 2019 from the Laurels of DeKalb in Butler where she worked in the activities department.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John M. and Heather Bonifer of Butler; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and three siblings, John and Diane Schmitt of Phoenix, Arizona, Rebecca Boehm of Jasper, and Sylvia Ward of Louisville, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Anthony W. Bonifer.
