Mary Kathleen "Kathy" (Payton) Hiles

Avilla – Mary “Kathy” Payton-Hiles, 64 passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born November 21, 1960 in Garrett to Samual and Betty (Gamble) Payton. They have passed away as has her brother Earl Spencer.

Kathy was a homemaker and loved Horses, especially Quarter Horses.

She married Jessie Hiles on May 29, 1994 in Corunna and he survives in Avilla.

She is survived by a son Sam Payton of Wolcottville and a daughter Danielle Payton of Avilla; grandson Ethan Payton; brother and sister-in-law, Spencer and Linda Spencer of Fort Wayne; sister Phyllis Spencer of New Haven; sister-in-law Jackie Spencer of Auburn; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Shad and Jodie Hiles of Garrett; 2 aunts, Carolyn High of Angola and Bertha Payton of Garrett; 2 uncles, Charlie Gamble of Michigan and Ed Gamble of Texas and her best friend Beth McMaken of Garrett.

A memorial service will be at 3 PM Sunday April 6, 2025 at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 Center Street, Auburn, IN 46706. The family will receive friends for 2 hours prior to the service at the Funeral Home from 1 to 3 PM. Memorials can be given in memory of Kathy to Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help with expenses.
