Mary Elizabeth Maggert, age 58 of Auburn, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.

She was born on January 13, 1965 in Garrett to Zack and Opal (Banks) Fugate.

Mary worked as a CNA at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn for 20 years where she earned her nickname, Bossy. She loved her cigarettes and Diet Pepsi.

Survivors include:

Son and daughter-in-law; Aaron and Aja Fugate of LaGrange.

Son; Chad Fugate (Lacey Stutzman) of Angola.

Son and daughter-in-law; William and Jessica Maggert of Fort Wayne.

Daughter; Talisha Maggert of Auburn.

Numerous grandchildren.

Sister; Joyce Cook of Kentucky.

Sister and brother-in-law; Anita and Luke Rhodes of Avilla.

Brother-in-law; Chris Voirol of Butler.

Many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; Rudell Fugate and John Fugate, three sisters; Beatrice McPherson, Helen Voirol and Lola Clair and brother-in-law; Ed Cook.
