MaryLou (Farrington) Thompson

MaryLou Thompson, age 75, of Waterloo passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.

Mrs. Thompson was born on January 6, 1946 in Auburn to Hugh and Velma (Shumaker) Farrington.  She was a graduate of Waterloo High School.

She married Tom Thompson on May 2, 1987 in Waterloo.  He resides in Waterloo.

MaryLou worked as a self employed bookkeeper-accountant working from home for 20 years.  She was an active member of New Hope Christian Center in Waterloo.  She was an excellent seamstress and would make costumes for different productions that the church would put on.  In her younger years she was involved in leadership with the Girl Scouts and Brownies.   

Survivors Include:

Her husband; Tom Thompson of Waterloo.

Daughter and son-in-law; Debbie and Dean Sherck of Waterloo.

Daughter and son-in-law; Suzy and Joe Fritz of Largo, Florida.

Son and daughter-in-law; Jason and Mel David of Waterloo.

Son and daughter-in-law; Ryan and Jade David of Butler.

Daughter and son-in-law; Tammy and Randy Swank of the Florida Keys.

Daughter and son-in-law; Jennifer Jill and Jack Ford of Ossian.

10 grandchildren; Trey Squier, Lee Fritz, Jacob Fritz, Derrick David, Jon David, Matt David, Anthony Swank, Sharayah Henry, Haley Swank and Alyssa Bryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.

Funeral services will be held on Friday following the visitation at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Ralph Diehl officiating. 

Burial will be at Waterloo Cemetery in Waterloo.

Memorial Donations may be made to the New Hope Christian Center, 900 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
