Max Trubey Obituary

Max William Trubey, was received into the loving, caring and all forgiving arms of our Lord and Savior on Friday, April 10, 2026 from his home in Auburn, Indiana.  Max was born May 18, 1939, in Butler, Indiana to his parents Kenneth and Olivia (Markley) Trubey, surely they were proud of what their son achieved in this life. From furthering his education beyond the traditional to several different certifications being for his employment responsibilities and civic duties.

Max married Carolyn Weicht on November 7, 1958. Carolyn passed away July 11, 2001. After a bit he found and fell for Linda Sue Collins Link. He and Linda were married October 13, 2001, in Garrett, Indiana. From blending two families into one, Cedar Creek Tractor Association of Auburn presidency, to membership and choral events with Norris Chapel UMC. Not forgetting to mention welcoming grandchildren and their great grandchildren to this life. You could ask Max at any time and he would proudly say something along the lines of “OH yes this is our fault. Smile that huge grin and chuckle a moment.” He loved each and every one of them.

Surviving Max is his spouse, Linda Trubey; children, Debra Gaskill of Butler, Dennis and Patti Trubey of Garrett, Tim and Cindy Link of Auburn, Tracy Trubey Hullinger of Avilla, Mark and Connie Link of Avilla, Ben and Angie Link of Auburn; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Lowell Trubey of Bryan, Ohio, Iris Thorp of Pioneer, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews and family members.

Max was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Olivia Trubey; his first wife, Carolyn Wiecht Trubey; two sons, Jeff Link and Duane Trubey; two grandchildren, Jessica Whittledge and Nathan Trubey; great grandson, Max Zehner; two brothers, Paul Trubey and Mark Trubey; an infant sister; son-in-law, Tim Gaskill and brother-in-law, Norm Thorp.
