Michael K. Pankop

Michael K. “Mike” Pankop, 60 of Waterloo, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born on June 28, 1963 in Auburn to Virgil and Annie (Musser) Pankop. 

Mike had worked at R.P. Wakefield Company in Waterloo for the last 38 years.  He was a very hard working and dedicated man who enjoyed spending time with his kids and family.  He was an avid lover of NASCAR and wrestling.  Mike will be remembered for his big personality and ability to always make anyone laugh.   

Survivors include:

Son; Aaron Green of Waterloo.

Daughter and her wife; Autumn and Ashlee Shippy of Fort Wayne.

His mother; Annie Pankop of Waterloo.

Sister and brother-in-law; Sheryl and Rick Truelove of Waterloo.

Brother; Brad Pankop and Leann Hull of Waterloo.

Several nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his father; Virgil Pankop, one son; David Green, one brother; Danny Pankop and one sister; Brenda Lingar.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.

Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation on Monday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with Rev. Ralph Diehl officiating.

Burial will take place at Fairfield Cemetery northeast of Corunna.
