Michael S. Kinkade Rupert, 35 of San Antonio and formerly of Kendallville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 8, 2023 in Texas.
He was born on April 13, 1988 in Savannah, Georgia. Michael was a 2006 graduate of East Noble High School.
After high school, Michael honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 2008 until 2013. Stationed in Panama City, Florida, he served in two overseas tours in both Turkey and Kandahar, Afghanistan. After his service in the Air Force, Michael worked as a fire fighter in Panama City. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time at the beach and boating in the ocean and on Florida’s lakes.

His mother; Kay Rupert of Kendallville.
Daughter; Hailey Henderson of Panama City, Florida.
Son; Christian Ritchie of Avilla.
Son; Declan Paige of Panama City, Florida.
Brother and sister-in-law; Kevin and Morgan Rupert of Avilla.
Brother; Kyle Rupert (Amanda) of Kendallville.
Sister and brother-in-law; MaKeila and Cody Vrba of Kendallville.
Brother; Jack Young.
Brother; Jeremey Young.
Several aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother; Marcella Rupert and a grandfather; Keith Kinkade.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 South Wayne Street in Waterloo.
Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 1:00 PM at the Feller and Clark Funeral Home in Waterloo with Rev. Dr. Robert Craig officiating.
Burial will take place at Lakeview Cemetery in Kendallville.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Rupert Family in care of the Feller and Clark Funeral Home to help with Michael’s final expenses.
